Tehran, July 19, 2010: Director Fardin Sahebzamani believes his drama “There Are Things You Don+t Know” was successful in its first international screening at the Czech festival. |

“There Are Things You Don+t Know” received honorable mention in the competition section of the 45th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, which ran from July 2 to 10. The movie was screened three times for audiences and film critics. “People warmly received the film and afterwards asked different questions on the filmmaking process at the post-screening session,” he told MNA. “At the session, they asked questions about the thespian couple Ali Mosaffa and Leila Hatami collaborating in this movie after a hiatus of several years and also about other actors starring in the film,” he said. Ali is a taxi driver who likes to avoid any kind of adventure in his life. Sima, an old school friend of Ali, nevertheless tries to revive their old friendship, helping to relieve his isolation. Starring Ali Mosaffa, Leila Hatami, and Mahtab Karamati, the movie has yet to be screened in Iran. The film is produced by Manijeh Hekmat in collaboration with Iran+s Experimental and Documentary Film Center (EDFC). Abdorreza Kahani+s “Twenty” won the jury special award at the 44th edition of the gala last year. |
