I Write Like can tell you the writer in whose style you write after you paste a few paragraphs of your writing and click “analyze”. Dmitry Chestnykh, the 27-year-old designer of the site says he wanted it “to be an educational thing and also to help people write better.” The site+s text analysis is largely based on keywords, which means that your choice of words rather than your style that determines the comparison. Chestnykh, who has uploaded works by about 50 authors, plans to improve its accuracy by including more books and adding a probability percentage for each result. The site+s traffic has soared in recent days, presstv.com reported. "I think that people really like to know how they write, even if it+s not accurate results," AP quoted Chestnykh as saying. "Still it+s fun for them." Although some of the results have not been very accurate, the mere idea of a program that can trace literary influences in a text has made I Write Like very popular. |
