Announcing this, Mehdi Bardestani, an official with Azar-Yazdi Foundation, said that due to the author+s special status in Persian literature, a professional orchestra should perform the piece, Fars News Agency reported. He hoped that the composition will be ready for Azar-Yazdi+s anniversary on July 9. Azar-Yazdi is best known for his “Good Stories for Good Children”, which won a UNESCO prize in 1966 and was selected as Iran+s Book of the Year in 1967. Azar-Yazdi is the author of “The Playful Cat”, “Simple Stories” and “Masnavi of Good Children”. His “Adam” was Iran+s Book of the Year in 1968. |
